Ramona Wadi is a freelance writer, book reviewer and blogger. Her writing deals with the Chilean struggle for memory against dictatorship oblivion, la nueva cancion Chilena, Palestine, Cuba, with a particular focus upon Fidel Castro's writings, international relations and political philosophy.
She has occasionally collaborated with Chilean writers to produce English translations of brief works, including a translation of the song 'Vuelvo' by Patricio Manns, and an article about the alleged assassination of Pablo Neruda written by Francisco Marin Castro.
Ramona has also conducted interviews with activists, nueva cancion musicians and academics, including Patricio Manns, Erika Hennings, Vicente Feliu, and Prof Noam Chomsky.
This blog seeks to impart a showcase of work, including news updates, articles, interviews and book reviews, including reviews of Chilean titles. Forthcoming long term projects dealing with the struggle for memory in Chile will be announced through this site.

Her work has appeared in various publications, including Green Left Weekly, Irish Left Review, History Today, Toward Freedom, Upside Down World, Chileno, Alborada, Truth Out, London Progressive Journal, Palestine Chronicle, Rabble, Al Zaytouna Centre for Studies and Information, The Election Review and Quds Media.
Other work has been featured in academic publications, including Center for Latin American Studies (University of California, Berkeley), Holy Land Studies, LSE Review of Books and LSE Politics and Policy.
A number of articles and book reviews have also appeared in Spanish, French, Italian and Portuguese translation, some of which were featured in Latino America, Portal Vermelho and ISM-France.

hello, i just read about the new book El Despertar de los Curevos and googled to see if there was any info in English. There was nothing but this blog, although not directly about the book you make reference to it...Anyways, just letting you know this is a great blog, i like that its in English. It important to translate as much information about what happened in CHile after 11 Sept 73....It would be great to get the book published in the UK...Saludos and keep up the good work. Rossana
